Human Vivisection are a band from Belgium that plays a brutal form of slam death metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "The Perpetual Gap" which was released by Rising Nemesis Records.
Dark sound effects start off the album along with some spoken word parts and after the intro the music goes into a slamming death metal direction along with some growling vocals and when the music speeds up a great amount of brutal blast beats can be heard and at times the vocals can get very guttural.
A lot of east coast death metal influences can be heard in the bands musical style and some the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while focusing more on mid tempo sections and keyboards are also added onto the last track while the guitars remain very heavy.
Human Vivisection plays a style of slam death metal that is very brutal and heavy sounding in the east coast tradition, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and metaphysical themes.
In my opinion Human Vivisection are a very great sounding slam death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Age Of Disgust" "Feed The Warmachine" "Birth Of A Defective Race" and "Creation Of The Spiritual Machines". 8 out of 10.
