Mental Disaster are a band from Norway that plays a mixture of death and thrash metal with some black metal influences and this is a review of their self released 2016 album "The Raping Of Humanity".
A very heavy sound starts off the album before speeding up and going into a thrash metal direction while also using death metal growls and some black metal screams and there is also a great amount of blast beats in the faster sections of the songs and the riffs also use a decent amount of melody.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the solos and leads also remain true to an extreme metal style and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and some of the fast riffs also bring in a small amount of tremolo picking and the whole album also remains very heavy from beginning to ending of the recording.
Mental Disaster plays a musical style that takes the heaviest sides of thrash and death metal and mixes them in with a touch of black metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional for being as self released recording while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Mental Disaster are a very great sounding mixture of death and thrash metal with a touch of black metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Victims of Fornication" "Postapocalyptic Bumfight" "Thoughts Of Rot' Thoughts Of Hell" and "Cannibal Skull Cult". 8 out of 10.
