Unlit Face are a band from Sweden that plays a very melodic and progressive form of death metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Everlasting Transformation" which was released by Sliptrick Records.
Tragic sounding synths start off the album and they also bring in elements of progressive rock while also mixing in with the heavier sections of the songs and the solos and leads a re also done in a very melodic fashion and there is also a decent amount of melodic vocals and clean playing throughout the recording.
All of the musical instruments on the album h ave a very powerful sound to them and the vocals also bring in a decent amount of death metal growls and high pitched screams and the songs also go for more of a modern metal style along with some symphonic elements while some songs also bring in 60's and 70's progressive rock influences and some of the tracks are also very long and epic in length.
Unlit Face plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in melodic death metal which they also mix with progressive rock to create a very original sound, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are a concept based upon the creation of the world from a variety of many different pagan and shamanistic cultures.
In my opinion Unlit Face are a very great sounding melodic and progressive death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Angelina" "Lexi" and "Silvia". 8 out of 10.
