Zombie Inc Interview

1. Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?

Hi there! Well, drinking beers, partying and watching horror/gore/zombie/slasher movies!

If we find some minutes between the DVD change, we try to write some dirty Death Metal and looking forward some shows, tours and festivals with Zombie Inc.!

2. How would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the new
album?

Hmm, we tried to embrace our own redux version of 90`s old-school Death Metal! I think we got the atmosphere, the feeling, the brutality and the arrangement of the songs of the early 90`s quite well! Just keep in mind that the earlier stuff wasn`t that high-speed than nowadays...it was far better!

3. What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the new release explores?

The lyrical themes are about apocalyptic visions of a world, overloaded by infected Zombies. All in all its a concept album filled with guts, blood, cut out eyes, and mutilated organs and...ZOMBIES!

4. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the bands name?

The meaning of Zombie Inc. is the concept of telling stories of Zombies.

This is a whole band-concept!

5. What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and
how would you describe your stage performance?

“A Dreadful Decease” is our debut album, we didn`t realize any show so far, but we definitely will play some festivals in 2012! In our visions, our stage performance looks really brutal, blood-spilling, gruesome...! sweet models will be hacked to pieces on stage; zombies will eat some lovely flesh!!! So, only people over 18 years will be allowed to enter the show... we will see...if our visions will come true;)

6. Do you have any touring plans for the new release?

Well, for sure, we try to concentrate on tours and festivals. Although, all of us live in Austria, except Tomasz, he lives in Germany, we are spread wide, so, there will be just a few single shows. A delayed release show is planned in November 2011 in Salzburg/Austria!

7. What is going on with the other projects these days?

Well, here are the bands I actually work with:

Disbelief est. 1990 (guitar & songwriter) Sludge-Death-Metal: There are lots of gigs coming next months and a headlining European tour this autumn. We work on a new Disbelief album! The new album will be released in 2012!

Thirdmoon est. 1994 (founder, guitar and vocals, main-songwriter) Melodic-Death-Dark-Metal: All songs are written already! Just need to find time to record the new shit! The new album will be in the typical style of Thirdmoon, combining aggression, melancholy and beautiful atmospheric acoustic guitar parts!

In Slumber est. 2003 (founder, vocals, main-songwriter) Melodic-Death-Metal: All songs are written already! Just need to find time to record the new shit! The new Album will be more aggressive but with more panzer-like groove! Watch out!

Eisblut est. 2000 (co-founder, guitar) Death-Gore-Metal : A new album was planned but reached out of order, I already composed 5 songs but I think Eisblut will be laid down dead! We will see!

GodHateCode est. 2007 (founder, guitar, main-songwriter) Death-Metal-Grind-Core: new album recordings finished already! Really brutal stuff! Watch out for more news coming soon!

8. On a worldwide level how has your music been received by death metal
fans?

Ha, this is individual, but all people who talk to us personally and via facebook and so on, say that they really like this fucking album! It seems like we made something right! Although on the other hand, I am really happy to see, that there are a lot of people outside who love old-school rooted Death Metal as well! Thats cool, because they have a amazing music taste;)

9. What direction do you see the music heading into on future releases?

Well, there are a lot of thoughts concerning your question, but I think we will do the same as we did on this album! Intuitive and instinctive songwriting. But honestly, I think of going more brutal and more fast on the next Zombie Inc. album! But pssssst;)

10. What are some bands or musical styles that have influenced your
music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

The songwriting modus was inspired by Entombed, Carcass, Autopsy, Dismember, Obituary, Deicide, Edge of Sanity and Gorefest. To name just a few. It`s not a big deal, because all musicians of Zombie Inc. grew up with the 90`s Death Metal stuff.

I can only take my part, so, I am definitely don`t listen to any new musical styles nowadays.

I don`t have any new stuff at home!

11. Outside of music what are some of your interests?

Beside music I enjoy sharing time together with my amazing girlfriend Barbara. After this, there is no time left for other activities than music and all the things that comes with it!

12. Any final words or thoughts before we wrap up this interview?

Thank you very much for your interest in Zombie Inc.! Support Death Metal! Support Zombie Inc.!

Cheers
