Morgue Supplier are a band from Illinois that plays and old school mixture of death metal and grindcore and this is a review of their self released 2016 album which was released by Obscure Musick.
A very fast and brutal grindcore sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats and high pitched screams and after awhile the music starts bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid pacced and fast parts as well as adding death metal growls into some part of the songs and the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's.
Some of the tracks are very short in length and also add in a small amount of melody at times and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and they also bring in a great amount of talent and skill that is rarely heard in this genre and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they bring in even more of a melodic style to the bands musical style and there is also a brief use of spoken word samples and why the music sound s very old school the production gives the songs more of a modern feeling and the whole album also sticks to a very heavy sound from beginning to ending of the recording.
Morgue Supplier plays a style of death/grind that has its roots in the 90's while also having more of an up to date take on the style along with a great amount of talent and skill, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover insanity and death themes.
In my opinion Morque Supplier are a very great sounding mixture of death metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Cultic Rape" "Graveyard Filler" "Dead Room" and "Broken Gods". 8 out of 10.
