Never To Arise are a duo from Florida that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very brutal and technical form of death metal with a touch of grindcore and this is a review of their 2015 album "Gore Whores On The Killing Floor" which was released by Cimmerian Shade Recordings.
A very fast, heavy and brutal death metal sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats as well as adding in technical guitar leads and a great mixture of both growls and high pitched screams which also give the songs a touch of grindcore and some riffs display an influence of thrash.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with a great amount of talent and skill and the riffs also bring in melodies at times and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the whole album also remains very heavy and brutal from beginning to ending of the recording.
Never To Arise creates a death metal album that is perfectly balanced between both the brutal and technical sides of the genres and also bring in a touch of grind to create an album that is heavy nonstop, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover violence and gore themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Never to Arise and if you are a fan of both brutal and technical death metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Butcher Knife, Birth Control" "Boiled Alive In Battery Acid" "Open heart Punching Bag" and "Last Supper". 8 o of 10.
