Propaganda are a band from Indonesia that plays a very brutal form of slam death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "The Mask Of Sanity" which was released by Brute! Productions.
A very heavy slam death metal sound starts off the album along with some blast beats a few seconds later and after the intro horror movie samples are added onto the recording before going into a brutal direction that also introduces deep guttural death metal growls onto the recording and the riffs also utilize melodies at times.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and none of the songs ever utilize any guitar solos or leads and the music also brings in a great amount of East Coast death metal influences and all of the songs remain true a heavy and brutal direction from beginning to ending of the recording.
Propaganda plays a style of slam death metal that is very brutal in the east coast tradition and avoids solos and leads, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover gore, death and social themes.
In my opinion Propaganda are a very great sounding brutal, slam death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Deliver Human Suffering" "Blasphemous Insanity Syndrome" and "The Mask of Sanity". 8 out of 10.
