Bloodshed are a band from Russia that plays a brutal form of gore/death metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "The Hunger And The Agony" which was released as a joint effort by Satanath Records, Wings Of Destruction, Grotesque Sounds Productions and Metal Of Crypt.
Dark sound effects start off the album along with the sounds of human torture which also leads up to a heavier musical direction that also uses melodic guitar leads and the riffs also utilize morbid sounding melodies and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard along with some death metal growls.
Most of t he music foes for the early 90's style of brutal death metal while elements of thrash can also be heard at times while the music still sounds very modern and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and they also bring in an instrumental before returning back to vocal tracks while the last song brings in symphonic elements.
Bloodshed plays a musical style that takes the old school and brutal genres of death metal and mixes them together to create a musical style of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover blood, murder and death themes.
In my opinion Bloodshed are a very great sounding gore/death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Blessed Possession" "Ritual Butchery" and "Let the Blood Flow". 8 out of 10.
