Sublime Eyes are a band from Norway that plays a mixture of melodic death, groove and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Sermons & Blindfolds" which was released by WornHoleDeath Records.
Clean playing starts off the album along with some heavy and melodic riffing a few seconds alter and the solos and leads also use a great amount of melody and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and when vocals are added into the music they are aggressive t hrash or groove metal style screams.
Death metal growls can be heard in some parts of the songs and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and clean playing also makes a return in certain sections of the recording and the songs also bring in a modern style of extreme metal that also has some roots in the 90's groove metal genre and the vocals also get semi melodic at times.
Sublime Eyes plays a musical style that takes the thrash and groove metal genres of the 90's an mixes it in with modern melodic death metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark and real life themes.
In my opinion Sublime Eyes are a very great sounding mixture of melodic death, groove and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ten Stones" "Your Time Is Done" and "We Are Chaos". 8 out of 10.
